Fox + Hound would like to introduce you to their 5th Rescue Candle, Lucy.
Lucy endured a long drive in a van with multiple other dogs from West Virginia to Rhode Island.
The adoption event was at a local pet store.
Lucy was advertised as a German Shepherd puppy, healthy and good with other dogs.
I was excited to adopt a bigger dog for my other dog Brody to run around with.
My boyfriend and I were determined to help bring her to wellness.
Every dog is different but Lucy required a long time to decompress.
We gave her the time she needed and allowed her to feel safe.
Once we were able to get Lucy healthy her training process started.
With training, she has become the most special dog.
She is now my emotional support dog and is quite possibly one of the best dogs in the world.
