Carthusia I Profumi di Capri

Secondo un'antica leggenda caprese, nel 1380 il priore della Certosa di San Giacomo, in onore della visita della regina Giovanna d'Angiò, raccolse i fiori selvatici più belli e profumati dell'isola.
L'acqua in cui venivano mantenute fresche assunse un profumo così delicato e squisito che il priore, con l'aiuto di un alchimista, decise di riprodurlo: nacque così il primo profumo caprese.
Le antiche ricette della Certosa furono riscoperte nel 1948. Con il permesso del Papa, il priore di San Giacomo rivelò il segreto a un chimico piemontese e nacque Carthusia, il più piccolo ed esclusivo laboratorio di profumi al mondo con una produzione limitata di profumi artigianali, estremamente raffinati e noti solo a chi aveva la fortuna di soggiornare sull'isola.
Oggi i profumi Carthusia vengono preparati con la stessa cura e passione di un tempo: in piccole quantità e utilizzando ingredienti naturali di primissima qualità.
Il rosmarino del Monte Solaro o il Garofilum silvestre conferiscono a questi profumi capresi note e armonie uniche e ineguagliabili. Le essenze vengono lavorate, filtrate e imbottigliate a mano una per una.
