Jean d'Aigle

Jean Soutter has always been passionate about nature, and it serves as a significant inspiration for him.

Growing up in Aigle, a village in Switzerland, he started making herbaria at a very young age, identifying the forms, scents, and textures of plants in the area.

He believes in the harmony between nature and humans and aims to create fragrances that embody this concept.

In 1945, he established the Jean d'Aigle house, introducing Cologne Cyprus, a blend of Mediterranean, exotic, and alpine scents that reflects his essence.

For over 70 years, these Colognes have been made using the same process and respecting tradition.

Jean d'Aigle moved to Aubagne, in the heart of the Provencal and Mediterranean landscape in the year 2000.

Originally, Cologne was perfumed water with therapeutic virtues used by the whole family as a ritual purification that could be found in pharmacies or in all good drugstores.

Since the 2000s, this is the direction that the Jean d'Aigle manufacture has taken, with Cologne Naturelle as the emblematic product of this roots.

Fresh and timeless, it is the smell of authenticity and tradition.

The creation of a fragrance requires expertise combined with the traditional gestures of the makers.

Subsequently, all compositions are mixed with water and alcohol and brewed using the old-fashioned method, followed by a four-week resting period that facilitates the complete diffusion of essences.
